Campus Ministry International (Philippines) (CMIP) is a program of the Canlibot & Caressa Rizal Philippines. CMIP Ministry was formed to enable and encourage local churches and the communities to effectively reach out to the Middle and High school populations in their vicinity

with the gospel of Jesus Christ. In school the children are taught reading, writing, English, Filipino/ Tagalog (the language spoken in the country), Christianity, natural science, mathematics, computer science, physical education and crafts. They are also encouraged to think independently.

The school offers the children who come from difficult situations an opportunity to stay in a clean and safe environment where they have time to play and just be children.

Education and Health Care In addition to an education, children get basic health care at the school from a dentist and a nurse who make regular visits to the school. Knowledge about how to manage their personal hygiene is also included in the children's daily routine, since the majority come from a dirty environment that lacks running water and sewers.

The school has 42 teachers, two janitors, a principal and an administrator. The personnel working at the school are enormously dedicated and work hard to create an enthusiasm in the children and young people to fight on despite their tough background. Thanks to their hard work, many students continue on to higher studies at the University.

Coming From a Poor Environment

Most children come from a poor family living in a shanty. In the slums people live in difficult circumstances; in cramped shelters they built with things they have found, sheet metal and plastic bits. In the slums there are usually no schools, health care, electricity, garbage collection, or other social services. In order to survive and provide for their children, the parents have to work hard. The school provides for the children's parents, who are often single, a safe place to leave their children during the day so they can work. The children are in a secure location when parents work rather than drifting on the streets in an uncertain environment of violence and crime. In this manner we help reduce the number of "street children".

Within the last couple of years, CMIP has sought to provide the framework and resources necessary for the local churches and students of the Philippines to reach into, what has largely been, one of the most untapped mission fields by the modern-day church. With just a handful of students walking the around this small community, there is an open door for increased evangelistic efforts that will bring the life-changing Gospel of Jesus Christ to these hungry children. Every student attends school for a different reason

- some go solely for an education and some go to please their parents others because they are required. Regardless, of their initial intention, each of those students are there looking for “truth.” Whether they know it or not, they are searching for that truth that will define their reality, craft their morals, and shape their future; the truth that they will live by and die by; the truth they will believe and practice for the rest of their lives. Our secular middle, high school, colleges and universities offer these students a myriad of truths to believe – atheism, agnosticism, and postmodernism, just to name a few. In this world where the multiplicity of truths is celebrated, it is imperative that we offer these students the opportunity to experience the One who is Truth – Jesus Christ. As a result, these students are sharing the Truth with their classmates, faculty, and staff in their institutions . Many of these individuals are being delivered from lives filled with sin and shame, being healed of physical, emotional, and spiritual disease, being baptized in the name of Jesus, receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit, and falling in love with the Truth that is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. So, why does CMIP exist? It exists for the sole purpose of training and equipping an Holistic army that can go and reap the harvest of hungry souls that is ripe in their community.. It is with this vision in mind that we celebrate the successes of the past and press on into a new and exciting future. We hope that this website will be a blessing to you, and if ever we can better serve you, please do not hesitate to contact us.

By giving support to and helping in the development of a child's life and their prospects, you are helping to develop an entire society! The children are our future!
